La Maison des Enfants – Bilingual Montessori School (French-English) – Neuchâtel, Switzerland
We are a small, family-style private bilingual Montessori school, established in Neuchâtel for over 25 years. We welcome children aged 3 to 12 in a warm, nurturing environment that fully respects Montessori pedagogy.
We are looking for a passionate Montessori Teacher (3-6 years), English-speaking (native or C1/C2 level), junior or experienced, to join our team as a lead class teacher. You will work in close partnership with the French-speaking Montessori teacher.
Position Details:
- Age group: 3-6 years (Children’s House)
- Collaboration: Full partnership with the francophone lead teacher — both teachers share the educational responsibilities equally and carry the load together across all areas of the Montessori curriculum.
- Key focus: English language instruction and immersion as a native/near-native speaker, while actively contributing to all domains of the prepared environment.
- Workload: Approximately 85% position (to be discussed according to school needs)
- Team environment: Highly collaborative work within a small, close-knit, bilingual team
- Start date: August 10, 2026 (school year begins August 17, 2026)
Requirements:
- AMI diploma 3-6 years (mandatory – only this qualification is accepted)
- Availability for an 85% position
- Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills and a genuine desire to share responsibilities equally
- Native or near-native English speaker (French is a plus but not required)
